My sympathies, Shauna. Susato looks like such a sweetie in the photo. Susato's birthday was the same as my daughter's, December 20 (though my daughter is ten years older).
SPHINX INK, thank you for your condolences. Susato was a sweetie, very loving and affectionate. He had many illnesses in his life, but despite that, he was a happy cat until near the end and would come running to get a brushing. He always forgave us immediately for taking him to the vet and giving him his medicines.
Deepest sympathy. My wife and I have cats and they are wonderful writing assistants. Susato could be a cousin of my cat Monty, who has an orange and white coat of a similar pattern.
Thank you, SIDNEY. Luckily, Susato's sister, Dulcinea, has taken over his job and now spends her days in my office instead of sleeping in the bedroom. So I have a new assistant.
